I’ve grown a long ways away
I’ve turned to ash a lot of memories
I’ve watched a lot of clowns come and go
I’ve felt tears rain down my face like black snow
But I know I’ll be alright, yeah, I know I’ll be alright . . .
Because I have someone I love here with me tonight
~
This Circus Freak has finally found her home,
And she’s welcome backed her Circus Rose
She’s played the Circus Marionette show,
And felt Circus Petals fall with rainbows,
She’s written down her Circus Story
Told the tale of the Circus Jester in all her glory
She dug back up her Circus Dream
And hung her picture on the Circus Wall of memories,
She sits by the fire with her Circus Animal,
And she's refilled her Circus Grave, no need to fall
But don’t get me wrong, she ain’t a Circus Doll
~
Ain’t it breath taking to watch the days go by?
More so with a gental song watching butterflies
Watching puffy white clouds up in the sky
Something so gentle, so warm here tonight
I can’t believe there was a time I’d not go down without a fight
It doesn’t matter, the chapter is done in my book, and I’m feeling alright

There ain’t no need for any last words here
No need to fill in an end to the song
I should have quit chasing someone insignifagant
I should have known there were better people all along
I ain’t retiring from the wild days I had
But a little ‘lax time doesn’t sound so bad.
