Really, I have no idea. I can find mistakes, and I can understand where a critic is coming from when they say to change things, but I have no idea how to put those changes into practice.

Hi Rosey,

Tricky question, indeed. I'm thinking of sketching up an article on this, because if I explained everything to you that I have in mind, I would definitely confuse you.

So, for now, some off-site links:

http://editingpublishing.suite101.com/a ... mpty_words

I don't find much of anything substantial in this one-- but that's just me. My sister's telling me to post the link because it helps her:

Not sure how much these links will help you. . . I should have a drafted article soon. ^_^

Good luck!

Hey Rosey!

Sometimes I find that if you just change a couple of words around, it makes all the difference. (To shyly quote Frost.)

Anyway, leave the poem sit a day or two, forget about it. The, come back to it and read it. Anything you see that doesn't quite fit, highlight it.

Great poetry can take some time.

Hey. I wrote an article on this a while back-it's in the knowledge base. :)

Just like hopes springing high,
Still I'll rise."
