I keep hearing vague mutterings of a National Poetry Writing Month (NaPoWriMo) 'round the internet (inspired, of course, by NaNo). Apparently, it's where you write a poem a day during the month of April (yes, I know, "way to go, Leja, brining this up ONE day ahead of time :P), usually to the topics provided. Maybe it's a specific forum-based thing?

Has anyone heard of this? Participated in it? Most things I've found of it are either outdated or their links have died. If it is still going on, anyone willing to give it a try?

From a quick look around, April seems to be National Poetry Month, so as an after thought, a good time for National Poetry Writing Month. I think NaPoWriMo doesn't actually exist. I'm not sure?

I'd be willing to do it if I wasn't such a terrible poet. :P Great find, though! I'm sure you'll get people to do it. Perhaps you can bug Nate for a thread section!

Oo-er. A poem a day? I can't even write a poem a month. However, it would FORCE me to write, and thus sounds good. I'll do it if you do it.

Yay! I'll certainly do this (so that means that you must too, then, Jack) ^_^

If anyone has suggestions for daily topics, I'd be much obliged.

I would adore this. Are we going to do it?

Write a poem a day. Sounds good, so long as the poem is nonsense, with insane rhymes, and is exactly six lines long.

Would word count count? Or just the "poem a day" part? as posting word counts is a pretty big thing for NaNo.

I'm doing a poem a day this year anyway, so I'm totally up for this.

This would be tons of fun. And, if not nation/worldwide, it could at least be a site-wide activity.

We should get a forum up ASAP.

This sounds like fun. So long as it doesn't have to be a decent poem a day. :P

Only to the extent that NaNo has to have a decent 1667 words/day :P (otherwise I would never even have suggested it, haha)
