I've never heard of dressing up like saints for halloween. Sounds awfully European haha

Well Halloween (All Hallows Eve) is the eve of All Saints Day (All Hallows Day), so dressing up as saints makes complete sense to me! If I'm correct, trick-or-treating originated from children dressing up as saints and going around the town collecting food, treats, and money for the local church and the All Saints Day celebration.
