Actually, you can make up a username to leave behind! It's only if nobody leaves a username behind that you go with the name of the person above. So, you're both right. Although, if it's the same people playing, it can be more fun to make up a username.

Ranger Hawk reminds me of a rogue hawk. Or a rogue elf who's name is hawk.

Ah, gotcha. I guess I should read the instructions before I start spewing out facts of my own.
