You've gotten too many nose piercings and they've all started to puncture your skin and cause some bleeding. You wake up in the middle of the night to find your body soaked in blood from you nose. You go to the hospital. Was it too late?
Yes, it was. (That sounded pretty lame as well.)
Spoiler! :
It's a tiny little mystery, that makes no sense to me...
You were poisoned by spoiled milk. But you died when the doctor accidentally injected you with air when you went to go get your flu shot three months later.
"we'll fasten it with some safety pins and tape and a dream, and you're good to go, honey."
Screams echo through the old school yard as you rush out the door, the cries of your classmates echoing joy. You stumble and trip as little bodies rush over you a blind squeal rings out as one of your class mates stumble over and a growing pile of little bodies crush you, and then suddenly you awake in a bed.
A repeat of years long gone a day you would rather forget given a dark and final alternative, and you left the only one aware that this has been going on. Each day you awaken as if all your life had never happened, as if it was all a dream but your body still trapped in that of a child's, once again you are grade school child. A welp of a child marked with reckless fighting.
Battered and bruised from a fight you don't remember you ask yourself once again where you are. A child's bedroom, your bedroom when you were little, the floors a mess of confections and broken toys. Like every day since waking up in this loop you would rush out the door to find your childhood home, just as you remember it, a small isolated wreck of an apartment.
Every day you try to escape to run away or make the events play out perfectly, that no nightmare follows you that day, that for once you do not suffer the cruel embrace of death. But it never mattered, even if you had escaped that wall of children, a pointless fight would go bloody, a car would crash into you, a stranger you had never met would behead you. There was no escape, and the darkness of this loop had already consumed you.
