Wow. You must have been really bored.

The detail is good and the different colour scales must have taken forever!

The green patch on the back of his head look computer-generated. How did you do that?

The quiz was fun, but it s aid that I was 22% stupid. I don' like being stupid. :D

Good work. You should get bored more often.

Aww, that's adorable. I love sea horses! Nice use of color, they really go well together and complement each other. I also like how it looks kind of pixelated, giving it the texture of tiles or something. i think you could have made the head look a little better though. In any case, great job! I tend to just doodle when I get bored.

Ciao baby,

Hey there.

I quite like this. You use colour well to create a rainbow like seahorse (which is pretty unique in a sense lol). The eyes seem a bit square-ish though. You might want to make them more rounded.

Don't know what else I can say about it. It managed to catch my attention at 4:14 AM in the morning so that should be a sign that this artwork is good.

Very beautiful. One thing, though: the title. Hippocampus is the region of the brain that stores and sorts memories... xD So maybe you might want to change it to something slightly different.... Like Hippocampim or Hippocampine or, well, you get the idea. What was the medium??? I love every bit of the drawing. There were a few discrepancies in the eveness of the swirls of the little thingies on its spine. Other than that, I'd say, it's perfect!
Keep writing and drawing! ;)
Cheers!

Hippocampus can be a Greek horse thingy, too. At least I think!

Ha, it's shiny! Yay!

Did you do all that with gel pens?

I really like the use of colors in this. The eyes are very well drawn, I think, even though they are a bit on the square-ish side. You managed to make colored pencil look good (a feat I have yet to achieve). I especially like the spirals coming off of it's spine. Very nice touch, I think ;)
One thing: It seems the horns and the eyes have a darker outline. Perhaps you could outline the rest as well? They draw more attention to themselves than the bright colors do.
Overall, I like this! Isn't it amazing how being bored can bring out some of our best talents? :D

For vox nihili
Hippocampus has several meanings:

* Hippocampus, an anatomical subdivision of the brain, a part of the brain important for the formation of new memories; early anatomists thought it looked like a hippocamp with scrolling tail.
* Hippocamp, (Latin hippocampus), the sea-horse of mythology.
* Hippocampus (fish), the seahorse genus.
* HippoCampus (website), an open educational resource repository by the Monterey Institute for Technology and Education.
