Day One~

this is so bad and unedited but i'll edit all this stuff later. also i just realized this is the first time i share my writing on this site but OH WELL.

Spoiler! :
you’ve laced memoirs in crimson ribbons
and hung them up as ornaments
trying to heal them by
hiding them beneath layers of christmas lights.

[you tell me it doesn’t feel like december
but how could it not feel like december after
i read the messages you let the wind carry
through frost breath]

you seal letters to santa claus with
your lips that have begun to
taste like peppermint.
the same old christmas songs
play on the radio and our neighbors
decorate their homes in fake snow

how does it not feel like december?--
tell me.

Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.
