In the depths of the Dark Zone, a man has erected his brand new fortress, now inspired with a brand new scheme to conquer the world. Dr 'Eggman' Robotnic has gathered a following of familiar faces, all with their own reasons, to take the world by force. Fortunately, the maniacal mastermind and his minions have only gained two Chaos Emeralds, and GUN has managed to employ Sonic and his friends to track down the rest. They are not alone on this hunt however, Eggman's team has accepted the challenge to race them to the emeralds, using any means necessary. Will Sonic and company foil Eggman's plot yet again, or will the new allies Eggman has made prove too much of a challenge?

Name: Shadow The Hedgehog

Gender: Male

Age: Over 50 years old, actual age is unknown.

Appearance:

Personality: Shadow is a bit of a dark character, he doesn't fight for 'good', but what suits his purpose, he is also quite cynical. He has developed better relationships with Sonic and his friends as the years have progressed, but his motivations haven't changed. Shadow has very few he truly cares about, but he is protective of those who he does. Shadow isn't one to complain, but can be quite harsh on those who irritate him or lag behind. Shadow also has a tendency to be mislead.

History: Shadow was created by Eggman's grandfather: Proffesor Gerald Robotnic, on Space Colony ARC. During a GUN raid on the ARC, Shadow was plunged down to the Earth where he slipped into a coma. When he awoke, he had serious amnesia, and sided with Eggman, when the genius claimed that he could help Shadow discover his purpose. Shadow realised that Eggman was lying to him, and helped Sonic foil his evil plot. Most importantly about Shadow was his encounter with his co-creator, an alien leader known as Black Doom. After Doom tricked Shadow into helping him take over the world, he revealed that he and the Hedgehog shared the same blood. The inner good inside Shadow made him rise against his master, and ultimately destroy him. At present, Shadow continues to search for his true purpose, but does small justices when he feels it is necessary.

Abilities: Shadow can use Chaos powers fluently, even when in possession of only one emerald. He can teleport, move at extremely fast speeds (rivaling sonics) and has a very logical mind. Shadow has two special chaos powers: Chaos Blast and Chaos Spear. He is ageless and very steady in combat.

Why: Shadow has firm belief that GUN holds documents that contain the blueprints of Shadow's biology. He doesn't want them to make clones of him, as this would make GUN undefeatable. Shadow was first hesitant on siding with Eggman, but reasoned that it would be the only realistic method of gaining and destroying these blueprints.

Up for Love: He and Rouge have a slightly flirtatious relationship, but nothing romantic; Shadow is quite the cynic.
