**Now I'm stuck**

**Have her find him, then he goes and talks to the chief, who will be PISSED! Then we should probably do a time skip. **

**OK I have to go right now. I'll be on in like an hour, I'm sorry **

**That works. I should be here.**

**I'm going to time skip to where he's already at his boss's**

"REALLY?!" The Chief yelled. "Pierce I never thought it all my years I've ever seen someone so stupid. I hope you had fun because you really screwed yourself." He growled as he put out a cigarette.

Sterling stood there and took everything like a man. He just glared. "I care about her."

"You kind of have to since she's pregnant with your kid." The Chief never looked so pissed.

Sterling rubbed his hand over his face. "What do you suppose I do?" he asked.

The Chief stared at him. "Tell her."

**OK**

Caralina was sitting on the couch when Sterling came back. She covered her mouth with her hand and yawned.

"He sure kept you a while." She smiled up at him as he sat down. She snuggled close to him breathing in his smell.

"Ya, we had a long talk." He replied with a sigh.

"Whats wrong, love?" She asked looking up at him.

Sterling was getting allergies, he sniffled.

"Nothing, the chief and I had an arguement." he said, acting very convincing.

"About???" she asked him looking worried.

"Oh uh we usually play poker every other Thursday." he shrugged. "No big deal."

Caralina nodded. "You hungry, I have some food in teh fridge."

"No, I'm good." he replied staring out the window.

"Right, uh, well, I'm going to go to bed then." She said standing up and kissing him. "I'll leave the light on."

He had no idea how to handle this! He was freaking out and panicing in his own mind. Why was this happening to him? Of course he was the one who lied. But maybe he'd still get to keep her forever? She was pregnant so... Yeah they'd have a connection for life. He just couldn't tell her... Not now.

"Um... No it's alright you can turn it off." he smiled at her. "Goodnight."

Caralina nodded and walked to the room changing again into one of his shirts and flipping the lights off before she climbed into the bed. She rested her arm where he normally laid and closed her eyes. It seemed he kept staying up later then her, and came to bed afte rshe was already asleep. Did he not want to see her? Did he only sleep in here because the bed was comfortable? What had she done wrong?

She felt a tear slip down her face and she fought the tears back. She blinked her eyes as some fell and then snuggled against her pillow, closing her eyes and falling asleep.


**Where'd you go?**

**The internet connection sucks carrot sticks, I keep having to restart my computer and even then sometimes it won't let me on grrr! haha**

Sterling was so worried. How would he tell her? How would she react? Would she try to leav him again? Would the baby hate him when it grew up? Sometimes he wanted to bash his head in for ying to her, even if it was for her own protection. His thigh muscle cramped, he gritted his teeth and walked outside. He lit a cigarette, he only smoked when he was stressed out. He smoked outside because he didn't want Lina breathing it in. He loved her... He just wished she could see it.

"Damn." he took a drag and exhailed into the night...

***Wow, that stinks. I know how that is though. The connection at camp is HORRIBLE***

Caralina woke up the next morning snuggled close to Sterling. She opened her eyes and yawned.

"Morning." He said. It made her jump. Not once had he beat her to being awake. HE never seemed like a morning person, always liked staying up later.

"Your up early." She smiled. "Couldnt' you sleep?"

"I did." He replied. "I just woke up and couldn't go back to bed."

"Why did you stay in bed then?"

"Cause I liked watching you sleep." He replied with a smile.

"Oh, ok." She sat up and streched a little. "TIme for breakfast and coffee then." She yawned standing up and walking to the kitchen with him following.

"We need to get back home today." He said leaning against the counter.

"It won't take that long to pack." She shrugged. "I'm going to miss it though."

Sterling shrugged. "Nothing new."

Lina stopped and stared at him. "Nothing new? It's beautiful it's actually very different." she had smiled back at him. That was enough for his heart to skip a beat. He looked down then thought for a while. "I don't want breakfast. I'm going to start ppacking up." he gently pushed past her to go take a shower.

Caralina watched him go and she took a deep breath. She felt her stomach start to roll and she ran to the extra bathroom pulling her hair back and losing her dinner. Her apetite left with her dinner. She left her coffee on the table next to his and started packing up their stuff as she heard the shower running. Most of her stuff was already packed from when she'd almost left. She took her suitcase out ot the truck along with his. She walked back inside and started looking around for anything she'd left. She found a cooler and loaded it up wtih what was left of the food in the fridge.

She wanted a shower too, but she would wait. She walked out to the truck and climbed in the passenger seat looking at the keys on the console. She could leave, she knew he didn't love her. He'd said he couldn't say it himself. Was that how she wanted her baby growing up, knowing that it's parents didn't love each other uflly. She took a deep breath. He didn't want to go to bed with her.



*hormones ar ea pain. *

Sterling finally got out of the shower. When he got dressed and outside he saw her sitting in the car, close to tears, he wanted to soothe her but he just didn't know how.
