Hi! I have a short story I'm submitting for a contest at the end of the month and I really, really need some constructive criticism on it, especially on characterization, the narrative style of it, and if it makes any actual sense to someone who is not me.

It's in three parts (all together its around 3,500 words, which I think is a managable length). I would love it if you could read all three. The first is here (http://www.youngwriterssociety.com/work.php?id=96979), and there are links to the other two at the beginning.
