So, I'm looking to get back into the reviewing game. It was one of my favorite parts of being on YWS back in the day, especially since it was always my dream to become an editor. Want me to review your shtuff? Here's what you can expect, by format:

POETRY:

Line by line analysis.
Correction of grammar, punctuation, and spelling, if necessary.
Analysis of the efficacy of your images.
Discussion of language used (denotation v. connotation).
Suggestions, with explanations.

SHORT STORIES:

Correction of grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Character analysis and suggestions.
Thematic commentary.
Discussion of language use (denotation v. connotation).
Plot analysis and suggestions.
Summary of personal reactions with explanations.

NOVELS:

Everything listed under short stories; however, note that I don't always review novels.

WHAT NOT TO EXPECT:

One line reviews.
Wholly reactionary reviews.
I will not review novels if they do not hold my interest or are too error-filled.
Blind praise for anything that isn't stellar and publication-ready.
