In the empty days of the writers' strike, ideas were born; ideas to change the way things are done in Hollywood. One man with the will, vision, and connections to act upon such an idea stood out from all the rest; and, together with his brothers, sister-in-law, and a whole lot of former co-workers and people who owed him favours, created an epic mini-series event - online.

On July 15, 2008, the first episode of Buffy, Angel, Firefly creator Joss Whedon's Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along-Blog hits the internet. This three-episode event will only be available for free for one week before being put up for not-so-free download. Dr. Horrible will eventually be released on DVD with tons of extras.
Synopsis:

Dr. Horrible is the story of a low-rent super-villain (Neil Patrick Harris as Dr. Horrible), the hero who keeps beating him up (Nathan Fillian as Captain Hammer), and the cute girl from the laundromat he’s too shy to talk to (Felicia Day as Penny).

There will be singing. There will be funny. There will be awesome. 'Cause it's Joss. =D
