I found this place for writers today via Stumbleupon which I think is great to tell you how often you repeat words.

Head over to Wordle and hit 'create'. Paste in some text (part/all of your novel, for example) and it's returned as a word cloud. I found from mine that I am a huge fan of similes... 'like' being my biggest word. The bigger the word, you more you use it--but it gets rid of those annoying common words.

I'd like to see yours!

Oooh, it kept putting "said" in mine! I had to kill that one.

I like it. It's from my short story Dance, Dance.

Ah, this is so cool. I love it. I put in my most recent story, How to Dance Freely in Your Underwear.

Apparently I use my characters names a lot, as well as "around", "like", and "art". They were HUGE! xD
How am I not myself?

Wow, wow, wow! This is awesome, thanks so much!

I did mine, and it looks kind of funny. I had an IM conversation (I used my story, Who Would've Thought--heres part one if you like: topic33532.html, but i put in the entire thing) so the screen names are some of the biggest words. The other biggest word is Kyle, who is the love interest.

Thanks, this is so interesting!
