I haven't slept in days.

smoking and getting high. it's all the same.

the feeling makes you numb, but warm as well.

no one understands. not one alike.

some would rather us not

others say why not.

some showing looks of disgust.

what good is a worthless person like me?

a dead beat. going nowhere fast.

not a care for life, not a soul who does.

If there was a second chance,

I don't know what i'd have to show,

maybe a whole lot more, or even less.

But this is my life now,

and i'm going to live it to the fullest.

Hey I'm Caitie.
I just wanted to say that this poem is really deep, I do have some suggestions though. I would try and not put periods in the middle of the sentence. Instead try and put them at the end of a line or If you need it there, Make a new line for the next sentence. Other than that I didn't see much else so bye!

O.k I like this quite a bit but I am going to give you some suggestions:
1. for some would rather not, others say why not, what if you tried using a different word than saying not twice.

2. Instead of having periods in the middle of the sentence try putting it as a line on its own.

3.Try capitalizing the first letter of the first word in every line and not just a few.

Other than that, I think you did a very excellent job. keep up the good work.

Nice poem. Couple things:
1.) "no one understand." You may have wanted that to be: "no one understands."
2.)"others say why the not." You might have wanted to say: "others say why not."
3.) "what good is a worthless person like me." this is a question so maybe: "what good is a worthless person like me?"

I love: "If there was a second chance,

I don't know what i'd have to show,

maybe a whole lot more, or even less.

But this is my life now,

and i'm going to live it to the fullest."

It takes a poem with a negative outlook, and gives it an almost positive outlook. Overall great job. Continue to write, you're doing great.

Hello there, Luata here for a review. Quite honesty, I haven't reviewed anything in quite a while so I'm a bit rusty. Just to explain to you my process, I try to break my review down into chunks, as to make it easier for me to organize and you to read. So, onward!

Grammar
It would appear that sophiereichelt has pointed out the few grammar mistakes that I noticed. I like where the line breaks fall and overall, it flows very nicely. Something that is kind of important in a poem, at least to me, so I congratulate you.

Meaning
Now, don't misinterpret the subtitle. I don't want to tell you what your poem is about, but just in general, the "almost positive spin" at the bottom comes a bit abruptly, at least in my opinion. As this is a review, take what I have to say with a grain of salt. I think that since the overall section of the poem is mostly doom and gloom type things [nothing against those kinds of poems, I tend to read them more often than naught] the "positive spin" kind of comes out of no where. I would at least add some foreshadowing for the positive part, maybe just some glimpses where everything isn't bad more towards the beginning? I don't know, you're the author, so do what you will!

Beyond that, great piece! I look forward to seeing more from you!
