Consequences of Unforgivens

In Poems

With each dying ember
Of my fire. My soul.
My joy dwindles
And my heart slowly
Fades with time.

You ask what's wrong,
You beg for me to talk.
But why should I tell you?
You're the one who caused
My soul's path to demise.

Each day I grow colder.
Each moment I shed
The tears my heart cries.
My pain echoing in this dark night.
With one final say I depart,
"Why couldn't you forgive me?"

Most refreshing piece of poetry I've read on here since I joined yesterday! I feel I have to really read to understand your piece, but then the reward of grasping what you're trying to say is so much more fulfilling. Then again, I may be finding my own interpretation, but that's what's great about work with ambiguity! Lovely.

Thanks Joker ^^ and Welcome to Young Writers! Hope you like it and I'm glad you enjoyed it XD

Welcome to YWS!! You'll have a great time.. If you need any help..Fell free to ask!! Harshita:)
