The Stinging Tang

by Liminality

- the stinging tang

- the wafting breeze

- the jangle of [. . .]

- [. . . ] the motor keys

- the car at home

- the headlights on

- the night in Rome

- the night is gone

- the heavy feet

- the heady breath

- the musty sheet

- the waking death

Cool poem! I believe this is about leaving and the scent of home never leaving you.My favorite parts in the poem were these lines:”The night is gone” and “the waking death” Both are simple sentences but have meaning behind them. They talk about leaving behind something dear, like home.I enjoyed reading this.Nice Job and have a good day!

Hello Hikari here with a review! Let's get right into it.

I'm not entirely sure what the [. . .] meant but I liked the rest of the poem!

The last Line was powerful wasn't expected it. And I like the ryhmes you had in here.

{the night in Rome

- the night is gone}

I also really like these two lines!

It was a good poem, kudos! ♥

Thanks for the review! I used [. . .] to add a sort of pause/ anticipatory effect there, but it doesn't really have a particular meaning. I might remove it if I revise this poem.
