These are some of my favorite/most helpful places I use to get names for those tricky characters.
-Need a name? Look through the sites.
-You have a site to add? Post on here and I'll add it :)

Some of my favorites:
The Name Generator

20,000 Names
Last Name Meanings
Serendipity

Behind the Name.com (Tatra)
Thousands oflovely mystical dog names (MyMistyWish)
Seventh Sanctum (WaterVyper)
Baby Names, Meanings (MySunshine)
Unique Baby Names, Meanings (yrclever)
Baby's Named a Bad, Bad Thing (Jay)
BabyNamer (Telina)
Baby Names at BabyNames.com (Telina)
Fantasy Name Generator (Kyllorac)
Links: Character Naming Resources (MySunshine)

Tell me what you use and I'll add it to the list. :)

Thanks everyone! :D

My favorite name site is Behind the Name.com It has the meanings of the names as well as different ways of getting just random names. Beyond that, I turn to a hard copy that's a baby name book.
Some people fall in love and touch the sky.
Some people fall in love and find Quicksand.

Find an author who's style you like and nick their names. Most of my character names come from disney classics and shakespeare.

My definite favorite is Seventh Sanctum. It has just about everything, and even something to beat Writer's Block.
There once was a cat.
He wasn’t particularly fat.
Fuzzy was his favorite mat.
And really, that was that.

Oh, but did you really think so?
Keep reading, it’s just the start of the show!
And as for how far this tale will go…
Well, even the cat doesn’t know.

One of the sites I frequently go to to find names for my character is thinkbabynames.com.
It's a really good site - it has names from different countries and such.
You can either search for the meaning of the name, and it also gives you similar names and its origin, but you can also search for a name by meaning.
I can only recommend it!

To find a name, I look through a baby name book my mum has and I search for that one name that will make that character perfect in his/her own way of course. This may take some time... but in the end it is usually worth it :)

http://www.babynamer.com
I like this one because it has long list of names that are easy to sort through and quick to glance over. It also has the meanings, origins, and nicknames, even the bad nicknames.
Also, for some of the names, if you can't pronounce them, it has a speech speaker you can press and it will play the name for you.

and

http://www.babynames.com
This one is great because it also has links for authors about naming characters, and has an advanced search which will allow you to type in a meaning and it will provide you with the name. It also has a most popular names list, of both boys and girls, and celebrity baby names.

Fantasy Name Generator

They have both a simple and advanced interface. The advanced interface is very useful when you want variations on a name or if you want a name to contain specific elements.

This site saved my life: http://www.lowchensaustralia.com/names/fantasylinks.htm

It is absolutely perfect for fantasy type stories. Any sort of fantasy. It has links to sites for names for faries, witches, wolves, gnomes, everything. It helped me through some tough namings in my current project.
