Hello good people of Storybook town!

Today I come to you with some very exciting news - we have added 12 Storybook badges for you to earn!

What do these badges look like?

Well they're shiny of course and badge-y and they look like these:

Oooh shiny! How do I get one?
Spoiler! :
If you want a badge, you need to be given a storybook challenge which you can then complete to earn a number of adventurer credits. These challenges will be issued by storybook owners or participants to revive or encourage movement in a storybook.

For example, I might challenge someone in my storybook to have their character reveal a secret to character x within three posts. I would do this by posting in this thread and tagging the challenged adventurer. They would then gain 1-3 credits upon successful completion.

Who can issue a challenge?
Spoiler! :
Anyone who is the storybook owner or has a Novice rank or higher and is participating in the storybook may issue a challenge.

What must a challenge require?
Spoiler! :
To be a valid challenge it needs to require the challenged adventurer to make at least one additional post in the storybook and it can offer no more than 6 adventurer credits as a reward. Occasionally there will be official challenges issued which will allow more credits to be earned for a single challenge.

I've got enough adventurer credits for a badge... how do I claim it?
Spoiler! :
Simply make a post in this thread and a moderator will be along to verify your credits and award you with the badge.

Who gives out the points? Can I use them for anything else and can they be obtained by anything other than these Challenges? -Inpsired by DreamingForever
Spoiler! :
The Storybook Crew gives out the points once either you say in this thread that you've finished a challenge or we see that you have. And, these points are just for this challenge! They're made up and the only other way the SB Crew will award points will be through Captain's Challenges, Storybook Workshops, or other events!

@LadyLizzLovelace i have arrived finally

You are all challenged hence: create the storybooks that you developed during the workshop on 10 June! Work together as much as possible, but as long as a storybook shows up representing Callisto, Triste, and/or Nevoaft, all team participants will receive the points regardless of how invested they are in the storybook. Weeee do request that posts be made, but that is not a requirement for the challenge. This is a reward for coming to the workshop. Figure out who will post the storybook and work it out from there!

Good luck (and don't let Team Two win again.)

Sheyren has been awarded 3 credits but not to be defeated, I am also claiming a timely 3 credits for bringing a cuckoo clock along on the adventure: Knights of the Green Room: Order of Chaos

Of course, I am also here on official business and I want to congratulate @Feltrix and @CoffeeCat on becoming our latest recruits. Bravely they left the castle with only a thin sheet of paper between them and the great dangers of the world and there they met a fiendish troll who invited them to tea. But our adventurers are not naive and when the troll tried to eat them, they swiftly took off his head and have returned alive to tell their tale!

I also (reluctantly) grant a Captain badge to our very own @Sheyren who has returned to us victorious once more. While most of our brave adventurers were following up on the reported sighting of a rare and mystical unicorn, Sheyren and a few raw recruits were left to defend the castle. Upon hearing that a party of adventurers had been lost while traversing the Myst Caverns, Sheyren left with only a borrowed horse and a small lantern and not only found the adventures but also led them home safely! These are the marks of a true captain.

Captain's Challenge: Summer Reading
As Issued By Captain Rydia

One of my favourite things to do in the Summer is to take a book down to the river on a warm day and lose myself until I've forgotten what day it is. Our storyook characters tend to lead lives which are fast-paced, dangerous and exciting but even they should be able to make time for a good book.

So this month's challenge is to include a book in your post. We'll give you 1 credit for mentioning that a book is there and telling us the title of it and 1 more credit if someone is reading the book. And, because we're generous, we'll grant a bonus credit if the book is in some way crucial to your post and has a lasting impact on a characters' life.

That's 3 credits up for grabs and because all great things come in threes, you can claim it up to 3 times.

As always, those who were active in the previous two months are tagged below.
But the Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Storybook: Stargazers: Our Ghosts

The Challenge: Introductions and Interactions

This storybook focuses a lot on characters. But before we can begin to explore our new characters, we have to bring them up in our story! Your challenge is to write your first post for the storybook. But, because interactions are also another important way to show what a person is like, you are also challenged to include some sort of interactions with another character in the storybook!

Completion Time: 12

Credits Awarded: You can get up to three credits in total! The first credit you can get is by writing your first post. The second credit is by having that post be over two hundred and fifty words. The third credit is by including an interaction between your character and at least one other one.

@Lael has earned a credit for posting in the DTWH! (June's CC has since expired, but it was completed before the expiration date.)

@Sheyren has earned three credits for completing the CC

@Nikayla has earned... nothing? @Sassafras, just to be sure, you're not awarding credits in addition to loot drops, are you? Ah, but she did earn three credits for the Workshop's challenge. @Wolfical and @FalconryGirl9086 have also earned three credits for the workshop.

@Rydia has earned three credits for the workshop, three for the CC, and possibly one for Mana? (Did you describe Howlengale?)

@Mage has earned two credits for the CC (as long as the reader can deduce that the book is important, it counts).

PS: Captain, I remembered my crew duties and finished the bookkeeping so you don't have to. :P

Ladies and gentlemen, calm down. You must be eager for the banquet to commence, but we must dispense with the ceremonies first.

We find ourselves in a time of great heroism, for acts of valour and honour can be found in the conduct of any individual, from the mightiest of warriors to the humblest of adventurers. Let us acknowledge these deeds and reward them duly.

The first of our champions to be rewarded is @FalconryGirl9086. A recent citizen of the Roleplay Realm, she has already acquired both fame and treasure - of which an impressive collection of swords is the most noteworthy - and now seeks prestige within our waters as well. Her exploits have not gone noticed; thus, we are delighted to welcome her into the ranks of the Order of the Storybook and bestow upon her a Lead Shield.

A Recruit's shield is heavy to symbolise the burden that their training will be, but for those who bear it with dilligence, the future is bright. One of our former Recruits, @Nikayla, has passed her first trial and will now be apprenticed to the Order's newest Initiate. We present her with this Copper Shield as a token of her training nearing completion. Carry on!

For those who complete their second trial and therefore their training, a worthy prize awaits: a Bronze Shield. The Apprentice @Lael has done so, and as such, has been promoted to the rank of Novice. No longer the trainee, she is now the trainer. Her newfound authority will not only be seen within our grounds, but also abroad, for she may now create a challenge for any storybook in which she participates. We trust she will enjoy her new privileges.

Novices make up the backbone of our esteemed order - they are the trainers of our Recruits and our representatives outside these walls. When the time is right, we select a deserving individual for promotion and initiate them as officers. For her steadfastness and enthusiasm, we have chosen @Mage to be our newest Initiate. These attributes will serve her well in training Nikayla, her Apprentice. We look forward to seeing them learning from each other.

Some of you may wonder, "What happens when my training is done?" The answer is quite simple: you become a true hero. Our brave Warriors risk life and limb to serve and protect the Order. They are led by their courageous Captains, individuals who possess astounding skill and finesse. If a Warrior is promoted to the rank of Captain themselves, they too must possess equally astounding skill and finesse. The mighty @Wolfical has proven that she does, so we award her a glorious Sapphire Shield of her own. Any who battle under her watchful eye may count themselves immensely privileged.

It is extremely rare for a member of the Order to rise higher than Captain, but when they do, it is entirely expected. Such individuals are recognisable by the impressiveness of their capabilities alone, but it would be shameful to disallow them from boasting - after all, they have earned bragging rights a hundred times over. Her journey has been long and arduous, but she has persevered without complaint. For her unflinching dedication, Captain @Rydia is hereby promoted to the rank of Knight! It is my immense pleasure to award her this magnificent Ruby Shield. May it serve as a beacon of hope to all who behold its brilliance.

The ceremonies are now concluded, so let the festivities commence! Feast and rejoice!

Welcome back to Pokémon News! We return with the latest updates of the Storybook League.

Pokémon Trainer @Sheyren continues to challenge the Elite Four, but he has once again learned that they aren't called "Elite" for no reason. Though the battle was fierce, Elite #2 @Rydia pulled another astonishing victory out of the bag, sending him back home to lick his wounds.

The Elite and her fiery team didn't rest on their laurels, though, for they knew the dauntless challenger would keep returning until victory was his. They redoubled their training and surpassed @TheSilverFox and even @Dino in their prowess! Rydia is now firmly cemented in her position as Elite #4.

With Fox now finding himself in the position of Elite #2, he had better prepare his team for battle. After all, our challenger is relentless and will demand a showdown very soon.

Meanwhile, Elite #1 @Wolfical has begun training her team in an effort to fend off the determined challenger. Will her determination prove stronger?

The Elite Four aren't the only members of the League who deem constant training of the utmost importance. Sheyren's vigour seems to run in the family, for his sister, the Psychic Gym Leader @Mage, has also jumped onto the training bandwagon. Is she perhaps interested in giving Grass Gym Leader @Omnom a run for his money?

Tune in next time for your regular update!

Captain Rydia and First Mate Lumi govern all my decisions. I am loyal, completely and thoroughly. Hail. Hail.

Hunter, you know I suck at pokemon battles and earning credits, so I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is a no-contest event. <.<

Inferno, Canto 27, l 61-66.
