Me too :/ I think I fear completion, so I avoid finishing a story by starting a new one lol.

I agree with you both! I am exactly the same and I do the same with TV shows (although thankfully not with movies).

I am currently reading :

Crime and Punishment - Dostoyevsky
Through the Looking Glass - Lewis Carroll
A Song of Ice and Fire series - Geroge R.R Martain

And recently finished :

Girl, Missing - Sophie McKenzie
The Other Life - Susanne Winnacker
Warm Bodies - Isaac Marion
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland - Lewis Carroll

I am trying to get out of the habit of starting new books without finishing the ones I am currently reading!

The Dangerous Days of Daniel X.
The Heroes of Olympus.
The Lookinglass Wars.
The Inheritance Cycle.
James Patterson, Rick Riordan, Frank Beddor, and Christopher Paolini.
Anything Jane Austen and Bronte Sisters, pretty much any classic that I can get my hands on.
I'm going to start reading Star Trek novels, since the sequel to the 2009 version just came out and I want to see them both.

I'm reading "Great Sky River" by Gregory Benford. It's the inspiration of the inspiration for one of my works. I'll probably read the rest of the Galactic Center Series once I finish it.

Reviving this thread from the darkness of 2013, because even though there are multiple clubs for this, I like blabbing about what I'm reading.

Currently, I'm reading As Stars Fall by Christie Nieman, an Australian novel about loss and birds. Taking me a while, since I'm not sure how I feel about it.
Also reading Dark Roots by Cate Kennedy and Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Phillip K. Dick, both of which I'll be studying for Lit this year.

@TriSARAHtops, 'Do Androids Dreams of Electric Sheep is really good. It's also quite short, so it's easy to get through.

I finished reading 'Night Film' by Marisha Pessl a little while ago, and I'm currently reading 'Inherent Vice' by Thomas Pynchon. I've also recently added 'Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn, and 'If I stay/Where She Went' to the big pile of books to be read.

I'm finally reading 'The Name of the Wind' Patrick Rothfuss. So far I love it and can completely understand the praise for it!

Currently:

The Girl Who Played With Fire by Stieg Larsson
Crime and Punishment by Dostoevsky
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

I'm reading C and P for my senior English thesis and am reading P and P as an assignment for the same class. Love Dostoevsky, not so much Austen. Decided to take a break from both and read Larsson. I read The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (the prior novel) during Winter break and have been itching to start the sequel. Already 200 pages in and I love it.

Recently Finished:

Breakfast of Champions by Kurt Vonnegut
The Rum Diary by Hunter S Thompson

Or the thousand splendid suns that hide behind her walls."

Currently reading Travels With My Aunt by Graham Greene on a friend's recommendation. I'm quite liking it, and it offers a nice excuse to put off reading the absolute shocker of a novel that I was previously struggling my way through.

I might be late to the party, but I am reading 2001 A space Odyssey by great Science fiction writer, Arthur C Clarke. Movie was awesome and I could not help but read the book as well.

Also, don't know if you will believe me or not, but I have not seen any Hunger games movies and I am not spoiled at all (I would like to keep it this way). So I decided to meet the series through books first, I am half way through the first book, and I must say it is not as good as people say, hope it get better. for know it is like 2.5 stars / 5
