I can't do romance, because like Pompadour said, it's hard to make it believable.

I can't do horror, because like ChieRynn said, it's "ew"/scary.

I can't do crime/mystery because I can't think far enough ahead for that.

And I can't do historical fiction because the research always kills me.

I get you can be pretty flexible with fantasy, but I've honestly never cared for it, and would never, never EVER write it. That's terrifying.

But science fiction is sort of scary, as well...

I would say crime/mystery, specifically the one that involves murder, because I think you have to think backward for that. Like, you go from finding the person when he dies before you know what happened to him; the narrative is reversed.

My second choice is romance, but my issue for it is really about whether it works rather than how to start it.
