This subforum is dedicated to posts about the writing process, including tips and tricks, favorite poems, pet peeves, and other poetic discussion topics. In summary this forum should be kept clean with just things about poetry, it's our own private home. Want to know if your thread goes here? Ask yourself the following questions.
- Is this about poetry? Make sure what you're posting is about poetry and isn't poetry itself. If you just want to share a poem, but you don't want the critique, then post your poem in I wrote a poem but don't need a review which is the purpose of that thread. If you do want critiques, post it through the Publishing Center so it goes to the Green Room - you can also try asking for reviews in the General Review Request Thread
- Is there a similar topic on the first page? If there is, check it out and see if you can revive the topic from it's slumber by adding what you want to talk about. If there's not, or you can't, create a new thread.
- Is it a question about poetry? We welcome questions about poetry. If you have one you want answered in particular, feel free to make a thread.
Overall what goes here is stuff about poetry writing, so if you have questions about punctuation, flow, growth, or anything, even asking questions about how your own style has grown or developed, feel free to create a new thread and engage in old threads.
We love poetry and everything about it, and know you do too - even if you're new to the form. So please feel free to post and chatter and learn with us, because we're absolutely thrilled to be part of this experience with you and each other.
