Will you be the next J. K. Rowling or just write for the desk drawer? Perhaps leave the fiction aside but never put the pen down? Or maybe you were destined for other things altogether? Do share your writing desires!

Writing is my dream career, and right now that's what I'm going for. Sadly, it is also my highest-paying dream career, which isn't saying much.

I guess my ultimate aim is to get published, however I don't think I really want to be a full-time author, because there's other stuff I'm passionate about that I'd like to turn into a career.

#2 was tempting, but #4 was the only real option -_- My brain's too statistical.

I am definitely going to pursue my writing. I am a good writer (I don't mean that in a bragging way) so I feel like I should follow that dream.

I don't dream of pursuing writing as my career, but I intend to continue writing in the hope that I can convey something that helps make a positive change, even if that change is in a handful countable of people.

Even though I answered via the first option, I would love to continue writing and publish a bunch of stuff and still have another job.

My dream is to be a screenwriter, so I guess that counts!

I'd really like to be published, but being a full-time author would not be the career for me - too much time spent alone!

@Elinor Brynn that's really cool! I've often wondered about screen - writing. Do you have to go to University, or something I guess...?

Anyway, I'd like to write for a living... there's other things I want to do for a living also, but they all are kind of things that can work around each other.

I would really like to publish but that is definitely not what everything is going to be centered around.

Writing is a way for me to express my emotions. I'm content with pursuing my other dreams, and writing on the side as a hobby. I definitely prefer my family here on YWS to some publishing company. This is my safe haven, I don't need a writing career :)

For me this is just for fun.
I don't really have to go any farther than that.

It would be fun to publish at least one thing, but if that doesn't happen, I am happy just writing. :)
