I put library. I can sit for hours nestled among a pile of soft, fluffy pillows with a stack of books beside me in my school library. Although there's this great little bookstore a few minutes from my house with a sitting room with loads of comfy chairs. Love that one too. But i'm usually broke, so i'll go with library.
If I don't write to empty my mind, I go mad. ~Lord Byron
I chose "Other" because I use both the bookstore and the library, but in a couple of years, once eBook readers become mainstream and the cost of downloading a book is significantly cheaper than actually buying it at the store, that's the way I'm going. Carrying around all your books plus anything you happened to download from the web in a small, portable package with an electronic paper screen? Yes please.
Bookstores ftw. The public libraries here have such beat up books that I'm afraid it'll evaporate the moment I touch it. The school library never really has an interesting book, so I stopped ever browsing there.
Bookstores, there's a better chance of a brand new book and I won't feel too bad if it dissolves right away, lol. Plus, if I want to read it again or want to double check something if its one in a series, it's not too far away. I like to have a big book collection too. Makes me look smart.
Library, since if I had to buy all the books I read I'd be broke. Then, if I find a good book at the library that I really like, I'll buy it for my own personal little library. But I don't buy books that I haven't read yet, because if I don't like it and never want to read it again, well, there goes $10.

My parents believe reading's pretty important, so they'll always pay for a novel for me to read if I don't already have one. Besides, it has a perfect condition that I can freely ruin it (even though I don't purposfully).
"I'm fearless in my heart They will always see that in my eyes I am the passion, I am the warfare I will never stop Always constant, Accurate, Intense" "The Audience is Listening", by Steve Vai
Library, and then once you know you love the book, bookstore.
There are two kinds of folks who sit around thinking about how to kill people: psychopaths and mystery writers. I'm the kind that pays better. ~Rick Castle
I absolutely HATE borrowing books from libraries and friends. I guess it's mainly because my parents have always told me that if I want something I get it for myself, and don't let anyone give it to me. Plus, if it's someone else's book, I can't underline my favorite quotes or circle a word I need to look up or something like that.
