I said fantasy!

I've dabbled in most genres, but I have to say that fantasy is my favorite. It was actually talked about in beckiw's feed the other day! It's hard to write a normal story without my wanting to throw in some mysterious magical something into the mix. I have to write/read/watch another fantasy while writing a different genre (i.e. story, a book, TV show). I like to read about the impossible, I guess. For me, it's escaping from the real world into something different (and cooler)!
I make my own policies.

I enjoy Fictional Drama, good well developed dialogue and some great characters that make me care for the people. Action and Adventure is great; but it's hard to find one that catches of my eye.

Why am I not surprised that fantasy is the overwhelming leader?

Tsk. I resent that, Wp. You cannot call all fantasy lovers geeks or nerds. Stereotyping is unhealthy for the cerebral cortex.

Mystery lovers are geeks

Sci-fi for me too! But, I'd like some intellectual content if it's an alien war yadayadayada. There's one part of me that loves learning/understanding the science (*points to Next, Michael Crichton*) and then, it's just a great read.

Next fave would be literary fiction.

I like drama; you know, some Tyler Perry sort of things. I don't know where it falls in the poll so I'll pick 'other'.

Yup. Fantasy's the most popular. No surprises there. *cough* Twilight and Harry Potter *cough*. Oh, hai.

Personally, I love reading and writing realistic fiction/drama. I like the whole believability of it, I guess. I do like a bit of Fantasy, but only a certain kind. As in, I don't like things that are filled with dragons, elves, fairies e.t.c. I love the supernatural stuff because in some cases, they can actually be believable.
I didn't know what to put here so I put this.

FANTASY!

I just love the way my imagination has no boundaries where it comes to fantasy. The genre is limitless! I can just write about anything like... vegetarian venus fly-traps with legs and magic powers, running around saving the world LOL But I guess that could apply with all genres in a way...

Fantasy is the only genre I've actually dabbed in. I plan to try the romantic genre soon though xD but I still think I'll add in whimsical inklings of the fantasy genre!

I would pick mystery, because I like trying to figure the mystery out before the characters do!

I had to choose other, mainly because it really is difficult to pick just one. I love romance in a story but I could never read a strictly romantic story. And I adore fantasy but there has to be something in the bulk to kick it into gear. And I like horror every now and again too. And historical novels, when well researched, can be the most wonderful thing to read.

I couldn't possibly choose one.
Never forget who you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armor yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you.

Maybe its because I LOVE strategy games, but my favorite genre is sci-fi. It all began with Total Annihilation all those years ago. I remember fondly the unfair matches I played against the computer.By the way, I also enjoy fantasy and despise romance. :smt032
