i have a (slightly off-topic, and i apologise inadvance...) question: who is Pat Buchanan?! he/she is on pretty much every poll and i never know who he/she is... yeah, so i know i should probably google it but that's just too simple... ;) plus, i'd quite like to find out how and why he/she always ends up on the poll... (?)

It seems to encourage new users to critique and earn points, then you have something to spend them on. Although its a miniscule about of points really. But without it what is the point of the points system?

I neither love it nor hate it, it seems a two sided arguement.
