Wow, I'm quite pleased with the responses! 55 yays and only 24 nays. Of course, 54 didn't know about it, but that's to be expected (and trust me, in a couple weeks, it'll be impossible for you not to know about it!).

I'm going to the Outer Banks next week, so I'm going spend a lot of my time there putting this Journal together. Besides the stories and poems, Brad has written a short preface, and there'll be the 101 tips for writers as well. In addition to that, look for writing quotes, weird facts, and random tidbits. I am not simply going to slap something together as most writing sites do; instead, I fully intend to make this something you'll want to keep on your desk for years to come.

Very interesting, I can't wait to see how this turns out overall. If the organisation of YWS is anything to go by, it should be great.

Will being overseas delay when I'll receive a copy of the book? :p

I think I'll buy another copy as well actually and give it to my local library.

I'm definitely going to order this book. Do you have a guess of about how many pages it'll be?

It's looking to be in the range of 125 to 175; I'll have something more exact by Wednesday most likely.

I'm excited!

I just mailed my contract off today... *slow* I see now why you said mid January or February. The slow pokes will be keeping you behind.

It's alright. I was way too ambitious with that January 15 deadline actually; most publications give themselves three or more months. Ah well, it's the lessons of the first time.

Not yet, but trust me, when they are ready to order, you will know. There'll be e-mails, announcements, topics, me shouting "Buy! Buy! Buy!" etc, etc, etc.

Lol, Nate, I just got a weird picture out of that. If you've seen Sweeney Todd, I think you'll know what I'm thinking of...

Anyway, gah! Must remember to start hanging flyers. I know I still need to prod my English teacher into posting one, 'cause I kinda wrote the story for her class. I figure my class will be interested. ^^

Yay! I printed out about thirty flyers...I am so excited about this! I mean, I just joined YWS around two months ago, but in even that small period of time, it has become my second home. =)

hey sorry to screw things up but i got home from a two week vacaton today to find no publishing agreement. Is there any way i can fill it out online?
May neighbours wouldve been collecting my mail and may have thrown it out for no real reason?????

hmm. sorry if this has slowed everything down i mean everyone at this end is cool with it being published its just a very awkward situation being so far away, also mail sometimes takes over a month to get here after being sent from the states.

hell, i still havent received a get smart dvd from sydney sent 3 months ago!
