"The mark of your ignorance is the depth of your belief in injustice and tragedy. What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the Master calls the butterfly." ~ Richard Bach
I love fantasy. That's why I draw dragon and stuff. I like historical-fiction too but I hate sci-fi. I'm more of a medieval person. I like the past not the future. Hee Hee! (Don't ask me why)
I like whatever. As long as it's well written and has an interesting, consistent plot, I'll read it.
Probably my favorite books to read are classics (that's not a genre, though, is it?). Currently, I'm reading Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy. I love it! I guess I just enjoy the way older literature is written. I find contemporary stories too fast paced and simple. This is not always the case, but a lot of times it is.

"And I am a writer
writer of fiction
I am the heart that you call home
And I've written pages upon pages
Trying to rid you from my bones...
Let me go if you don't love me" ~The Decembrists "Engine Driver"
Fantasy. I don't mind reading or writing other things from time to time (well, I'm not a big fan of sci-fi, it just never seems real to me. Or it's disturbing, I hate disturbing books or movies) but fantasy is my favourite and I read and write it ALL the time.

Fantasy. It's so malleable, it's not funny. I'd much rather read about man-eating ogres than some guy who has some troubles in his life...or something. However, I enjoy horror and sci-fi as well, albeit not all sci-fi. And horror usually when it's applied to fantasy, or is more 'fictious' or 'fantastical' than real (i.e. Underworld)

Action genres for me. Well, more like action/fantasy. But action is definatley my favorite. I'm not a big adventure genre fan though. I know these two usually go together, but action is better.
