The Young Writers Society is now very proud to announce that users will now be able to create their own blog, if they so desire, through this forum. First of all, a blog is an online journal in which you can allow, or not allow, other people to not only view your journal but also leave comments on stuff that you have written. In addition to blogs being a journal, they are also used for everything ranging from political opinion columns to a way to showcase your writing. In short, a blog is whatever you want it to be. It is your personal webpage that you can easily update.
The blogs at YWS are not dumbed down or stripped of features in any way; they are fully functional. Some of the features include, though are not limited to:
- Calendar
- Shoutbox
- Trackback
- Three templates
- About Me section
- Picture uploading function
- MUCH, MUCH MORE
To create your own blog, merely go to the board navigation menu (viewable on the homepage and on the forum index) and click "Edit/Create My Blog." To view others blogs, listed in most recently updated order, just go to "All Blogs." Once your blog is created, you can view it by clicking "My Blog." There is also a link to your blog in your profile and on every post you make.
