What about us who use combo techniques? I start with the hook (like a fish), sharpen it, then crunch it.

@Crysi, I'm glad you admit to your comboing ways, and that you start as a little (tin) fish [maybe two people on the site will get that.] But are you not scared that the throwing dart you have created will not poke and prod your precious tummy? D:

Personally, though I always sharpen mine to the point of dart-throwing, I do chomp stomp romp all the same. Perhaps I am a Pat Buchanan as well. So much to ponder...

Wow this is definitely not what I expected entering a writer's forum but interesting topic, I guess. I like to make good things last for a while, and I love the traditional peppermint candy canes. Only the peppermint ones though. I absolutely cannot stand those other crazy colored tacky ones by the tart candy brands. Like why are you trying to ruin candy canes, I would really like to know?

When I was a kid, I used to eat the hook part first. Now, though, I like to eat the stick first, but I kind of don't like eating the hook at the kind especially for the large cane. However, I think eating the cane part is more challenging.

My grandmother uses candy canes as Christmas decorations every year and every year my sis and I always end up eating almost every one before Christmas Day. She gets so mad at us, we're just like "See this is why you can't use candy as decorations!"
In all honesty I originally just came here to say peppermint candy canes taste amazing in hot chocolate.
