This seems very off proportion. There should be more lefties than ambi's.
Probably most of the 'ambidextrous' people are not actually ambidextrous. being able to write badly with your left hand doesn't make you ambidextrous.

I'm a righty, but I've been teaching myself to write with my left. It looks like a freaking toddler's writing, it's so messy, but eh. Practice makes perfect.

Boy is left-handed when writing, but right for most other things, so mix-handed, I guess. Or ambidextrous. Whatever you want to call it.

I agree with you, to an extent. A lot of left-handed people have had to develop such a strong cross-dominance that, functionally, they are ambi, even though they weren't born that way, and the question never specified having to be born ambi to qualify.

But native ambis are still better at switching between hands. ;P
