NaPo is the slang acronym for National Poetry Writing Month! Every April, poets and non-poets alike gather to write thirty poems, and maybe more, if desired! The tradition is to write one poem per day for the month of April, but if you're like me, you get busy or tired every night and forget, then play catch up later! Or you're like @PenguinAttack and slam down more than one per day. Any way works! The whole point of NaPo is to celebrate the love of poetry and work on improving and honing your skills. :)

So tell me: how's it going? Got a favorite poem of yours (or someone else's) you wanna share?

I'm not doing NaPo, yet I refuse to vote for the final option ("What's NaPo?"). I demand an option be made for those of us who know what NaPo is but are not participating!
Or... you know... not.
I don't really care :P

I started out strong, but fell behind this past week. Still, I'm catching up with some offline scribblings.

I'm doing 1/day instead of 30/month, so I can't really be any option but "caught up".

I was doing so well, and then school caught up with me. I'm thinking I'm going to focus on the bits-and-pieces poem from all the lines I cut out of my old writing journals and try to finish and polish that before the end of the month. Might also focus on another one or two, but thirty is probably out of the question with my placement and schoolwork and regular work and everything else.

I am catching up, but I don't think that I will do 30/30. I am more like a spontaneous writer. But I am lovin my NaPo poems so far.My heart is poured out .Three of them got featured so far!I love these types of challenges though.Go National Poetry Month.

I kinda love how there's no "I'm not participating" option.

Even though I don't participate.

What where? I think I left it back miles ago. It's lost. Can't find it. Nope.

I'm about 7 poems behind, but that's ok. I can catch up, maybe...
