Cause and Effect Essay
Sat Dec 20, 2008 8:56 pm
Okay so I need to write a cause and effect essay and I need some creative excuses for being late for school (they can be off the wall crazy). I just don't want the "I didn't hear my alarm" or the "I missed the bus" excuses. It can be completely implausible (a dragon stopped the car and demanded we give him forty pieces of gold before we could pass) but it would be awesome if you knew someone who had actually used that excuse. =]
Thanks in Advance!

Well, this one is stupid
It was used by my friend who was late to swim practice:
"Sorry I was late. I was helping build my family's couch."
it was so lame that we were all cracking up.
Odi et amo. quare id faciam, fortasse requiris?
nescio, sed fieri sentio et excrucior.

How about: A crazy man with a dagger saw me on the street, and used me in his some kind of escape scheme
I'll even be ready to do the crazy man part. ( I have experience in dagger runaways, well in my story at least)
*takes out a dagger and begins to sharpen it*
Or: I'm sorry everyone else in our class said we don't have this lesson, because we had a Christmas gala practice fifteen minutes before the beginning of the lesson, and could have made it on time to the lesson. This one is tried, and ends up so that the teacher yells at the whole class (even you) despite you being the person who actually asked the teacher whether you have a lesson or not, five minutes after the lesson began and the teacher wasn't there...
If the road is easy, the destination is worthless.

Thanks again for responding - Stevie

Hold up. Do you not need one anymore?
