Hello. I'm Emily and I am a young writer. I love a TV show called Big Time Rush, and I have been writing a novel based on the television series. I want to get the book published, which I know requires getting permission from the TV station (Nickelodeon). I want to contact someone about this, but I am not exactly who I would need to contact. I have been doing research about contacting Nickelodeon, but whenever I call, they don't have any answers to my questions about copy-write, permission, etc. Do any of you have a suggestion for me?

The legal department is usually what you're looking for. They're the ones who would go after you if they caught the broken copyright, so they'd have some idea what it would take to not have them go after you.
