It needs to stop! it has gone on too long! I have seen countless maps of fictional worlds and lands and the majority are horribly thought out! There are square or perfectly strait mountain chains, hills where there should be marshes, volcanoes where there should be none.It seems as though the majority of authors are determined to make worlds that make absolutely no geological sense what so ever.
As a geoscience major I would like to extend the offer to look at maps for people and give tips on how to make the land, rivers, oceans, glaciers, et cetera, more realistic.
