Okay, I'm writing about a society that lives in caves. I would like to know anything you guys know about caves. And my big question is - is there a way to get electricity without people outside of the caves noticing? Some kind of generator or a way to use underground rivers or something? any ideas?
I go to seek a Great Perhaps...

I know a little from my science class. Hydroelectric, or water-generated electricity works by using
a current to move a turbine. That's attached to a huge magnet, which does the conversion.

It won't help much scientifically, but there's a novel about an underground city. The City of Ember
is its title.

"The day, which was one of the first of spring, cheered even me by the loveliness of its sunshine and the balminess of the air. I felt emotions of gentleness and pleasure, that had long appeared dead, revive within me. Half surprised by the novelty of these sensations, I allowed myself to be borne away by them, and forgetting my solitude and deformity, dared to be happy."
