I need to find some more details about how the New World was promoted and what people/companies were doing the promoting. And to be clear, I'm not looking for promotion of the West. I'm looking for who was urging the first group of people to settle the New World.

This is technically for a project, so a quick response is appreciated!

There were often alot of posters. Posters everywhere, promising rich farmland, wealth, and and generally a perfect life if you went to live in America. The posters promised cheap fares, and basically everything that would lure unhappy eurpoeans into buying tickets.

I'm looking for who was urging the first group of people to settle the New World.

More emphasis on that aspect of my post, please (To everybody reading). ^^

Sorry, didn't catch that. It was the governments of the people who wanted to be the first to settle in the new world, so the government of England, Spain and France would have probably done the promoting.
