I know there are some major arteries (or I'm pretty sure) in the neck, but how big of a cut can you get there without it being life threatening?
Also how long would it take for it to heal?

Thanks. :)

Ok, so on your neck (under the jaw) you have your some major arteries and jugular vein. If the jug gets cut badly and your not near a doctor you bleed to death, painlessly and very, very quickly. That's how some people butcher animals, they "cut their throat". So it sorta depends on where the cut is. If you miss the jug and other arteries, and the cut wasn't too bad... well see that's where it's difficult to say. You're the only one who knows how deep we're talking about here. The depth and location all apply to how fast it would heal. If you find a picture or chart with the human veins and arteries, you would probably be better to understand where to place the cut so your character didn't kick the bucket.

Hope this loads, it might help. Feel free to PM me with any questions.

PS, you have one of the "red" veins on each side of your neck. Good luck.
