Just putting it out there that if anyone ever needs help with Japan, be it book recommendations, translation help or language homework, or something about the culture, I'm more than happy to help out. I've been studying the language for going on 7 years (on my own and in college), and I've got an array of academic texts under my belt and more at my disposal.

My specific area of interest is in the world of geisha: I have a small blog and a tumblr where I write little research articles about whatever happens to interest me at the moment.

In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.
