In the next hour, everyone but Beatrice and Charles were escorted out of the police station. Since Charles would be in there for the next couple of hours, the group decided to go get coffee and finally relax for once. They chose a corner with several couches and armchairs to sit down in and ordered their coffee.
"So..." Jonah cleared his throat, "Anyone want to talk about-"
"NO." Elizabeth exclaimed. She quickly realized how loud she had said that and she lowered her voice, "No, please. Why don't we talk about something else?"
Zoey started the conversation, "Avery, Alex. How are you guys going to spend the rest of your vacation?"
The rest of their time in the coffee shop was spent discussing the best places in New York to go, the best views, everything Alex and Avery could possibley do in the time they had left. In the middle of their conversation, however, Jonah received a call from Evan. Jonah excused himself and went outside, where he explained everything to Evan.
In the following days, Alex and Avery travelled throughout New York doing whatever they wanted. They went to the Natural History Museum, the top of the Statue of Liberty, had a picnic with the others in Central Park, to name a few things. Charles had given them $15,000 to spend however they wanted as a thank you, but they decided to save it for their next trip.
Charles recovered and continued his music career, releasing a new hit single called "Stage For The Broken." Elizabeth also went back to her modelling career and divorced James (who couldn't care less). Zoey and Jonah both helped show Avery and Alex around town before returning to their jobs. Beatrice, on the other hand, did not have a happy ending. She was sentenced to 30 years in prison without parole.
And now, life goes on as normal for Avery and Alex. They flew back home to Quebec City, ready for a new school year, despite not having the vacation they had planned. Nothing could be more eventful than their trip to New York.
