personal / school

  • Be more positive about yourself. <3
  • Try to enjoy Science. It’s for your own good! :P
  • Polish your time management skills!
  • Get that gecko.
  • Meditate more often. I was so good at it, and did it every single day but then, well, I stopped. I need to get back into it.

writing

  • Start editing Unlucky 13 so that I can have a nice, drafted and ready-to-go novel. :pirate3:
  • Write more poems because I’ve forgotten how nice I feel when I do.

the site

  • Get to 2700 posts.
  • Get to 450 reviews (19 reviews left, new star~~).
  • Actually participate in NaNo in July and work on Unlucky 13 then, maybe?
  • Write 30 poems for NaPo. 8) I think I can do it if I put my mind to it!

mental & physical health

  • Find a place to play badminton every week, even after semester two starts and I have no gym class, and even over the summer.
  • Go outside more often, even if it’s only in the backyard, so you can refresh yourself every day.
  • Read more books! Books were my life, and I plan on binge reading everything and anything over the summer and winter + spring break!
*insert quirky signature here*

My goals

Play badminton in the evening with my dad

Work on my long list of writings ideas

Read the Bible every day

Watch animes

Find a new friend (since my old friends are so far from me -one in another country, the other is extroverted and has a lot of friends...)

NOT get depressed and read A LOT OF BOOKS

Most of all just find someone to talk to...

@Liebensteiner You play badminton?! I love badminton! It's so hard to find people who play badminton...I hope you can find a place to play badminton :D

@Rosewood "Work on my constantly growing list of book ideas" definitely on my list, too!

@alliyah Wow! "Practice translating a chapter of the Bible once a month." I think that's a really interesting goal :)
"See my grandmother again if covid-allows.
See my parents again. Haven't seen either of my parents since January and it makes me really sad."
I'm sorry about that. I hope you can see your parents and grandmother soon.

@EditorAndPerks "and start learning Korean" Korean is my first language if you ever need some help feel free to ask me! :)

@Tuckster "Read my Bible every day" That's my goal too!

Everybody Merry Christmas! I hope you all have a great day!
~Chris

Move out of my mother's house.

Be kinder to myself.

Travel somewhere.

Spend less time on social media.

Finally learn how to properly cook.

Write and put my work out into the world.

All our dreams can come true — if we have the courage to pursue them.

I can be scary bad at committing to things like this lol but I thought I'd write some thoughts down for what I'd like to accomplish for 2021!

  • Get vaccine!
  • Have some wonderful get-togethers and parties and dancing when the pandemic is over.
  • Write more and develop characters/story more.
  • Write some poetry! And consider... NaPo 2021. hehe
  • Get ready for grad school in the fall.
  • Job hunt in spring and relocate to somewhere that'll make me happy. :')
  • Growth! Always strive to be a better, healthier person ~

In 2021, I plan to learn 12 skills in 12 months. It will be spending each month speed learning a skill (I'm homeschooled so I can) and hopefully, by the end of the year, I will have 12 things I have achieved/failed miserably at and therefore learned a ton.
My skills are:
1. Chess (Score 1500)
2. Piano (be able to play a hymn)
3. Memorize the constitution (be acquainted with and able to recite)
4. Learn to dance/to a backflip (BACKFLIP
5. Math test (Pass ACT Math test)
6. Write a short film (Finish script for 30 min film)
7. Act in a short film (Cast and film)
8. Edit and publish a short film (Edit down to 15-30 min, publish)
9. Build building (build a stone shed in my backyard)
10. Worldbuilding dnd world (Down to the last city)
11. Woodcarving/Engineering (woodcarver a good looking bear or something)
12. Cooking (Cook and bake for Christmas feast)
Previously Andrewknorpp, now less sure.

Icy's Resolutions

Going to try and keep this list short because otherwise these things have the tendency to get overwhelming:

Personal/Health
  • Improve my 5K running time
  • Drink more water
  • Move house (this is pretty out of my control at the moment but fingers crossed)

Writing
  • Finish first draft of On Crimson Tides by end of March
  • Plan Before Darkness Appears - have a vague story arc to follow
  • Write more of BDA for Camp NaNo
  • Do at least one full edit of OCT
  • Maybe try out some poetry... eek
  • Complete NaNo 2021

Atlas's 2021 Goals

    4. Remain positive if the pandemic negatively affects my college experience

I'm going to keep it light because I know I won't achieve anything otherwise, but I want to write the sixth instalment in my series and maybe also the seventh. I also need to get a job and ideally give my room a proper clearout so it's more inhabitable.

Last year I read the whole Bible, maybe this year I can read the Lord of the Rings? Seems unlikely at the moment given I don't have a copy of the book.

Mine is pretty simple-- Reach out to a friend every day(excluding shabbat). I've realized my introverted self almost universally just waits for other people to say hi to me instead of actually making an effort to stay in contact with them(or, as the cool kids apparently say, I have "high NPC energy"). This has led to a bit of drifting between some of my best friends and me, so I'm going to change that.

@whatchamacallit, @TheCursedCat, @Dilbert64, and @Riellehn, look out, you're on the top of my list :P

[EDIT] I changed my mind, I have two resolutions: I'm adding "make a thing every week" to the list. Doesn't matter what kind of thing, or how good a thing it is, I just want make myself keep making things, because making things makes me happy.
