One of the easiest things to center a poem around is emotion. Perhaps you could pick a specific emotion, like joy, contentment, love, success, excitement, things like that, and then think of the places where you feel those emotions. Then describe within the poem what about that place or person or thing makes you feel that emotion. Hope this helps!
