I think I speak for everyone when I say I'm tired of working for nothing.

Many of us are students. Some of us are parents. Some of us work full-time jobs and some of us only work part-time jobs. Hell, some of us don't even have a job.

Being on YWS is fun, but once we take on the green paint, it's suddenly like all the fun is gone. We're slaving away, working more than sixteen hours a day. We get no thanks, no recognition, no love. We're always running contests and writing up posts and featuring members.

It's a thankless job. But it shouldn't be an payless job.

I think we should start charging a fee for members to access YWS. Every month, about $10 American dollars, or whatever of that equivalent in their currency. It's time we start paying our staff for their hard work.

What do we think?

Depends. Do we get backpay in this proposal, too? And, I mean, Nate has already been complaining about electricity costs, maybe this will help on that end, too?

No one is asking you to work for YWS. If you're not happy, quit.

Are DJMs included in the deal? What about retired moderators? You can't make us do all the dirty work, wait until we've given up the green, /and then/ pay us zilch. HOW IS THAT FAIR

Would /I/ have to pay to access YWS? Because if that answer is no, I whole-heartedly agree.

I'll take my starting salary at €36,000 please as that's probably what I'll be earning when I start working as a doctor. Which I'm going to become.

Having already demanded to be Queen, I also demand that I am paid a total of 1 billion dollars a year. You people might think this is a little extravagant, but I think it's perfectly reasonable.

Iggy, it's a bit ridiculous to expect constant pay, and we've been over this before, and that's why we've made YWS's Next Top Moderator, to ensure that we get some CHANCE at receiving some monetary benefits for our work.

Are you just willfully ignoring it because this week's challenge is to clean some bathrooms? Come on, Iggs, every job can be done excellently!!

As a previously distinguished Junior Moderator, I am appalled to see you have not thought about creating pensions for les DJMs. A mere, almost indistinguishable (hehe geddit) colour from the rest of the prolétariat is not nearly enough a reward for your hard service. Wouldn't you agree?
