What luck has fallen upon the kingdom of YWS that this day, February fourth by Seoul time, two squires have earned their titles together, having fought with loyalty, dedication, and knowledge in the unforgiving land that is the Green Room?
Look now, people, upon your champions, and welcome Knight Totoro and Knight Lauren.



Knight Totoro, Knight Lauren

Due to crazy time shenanigans, my embarrassing tale of how Squire Rydia stole a Green Room review out from under my very nose has become even more embarrassing, as her review claims to have been made precisely twelve hours and five minutes before mine, directly disputing my own claim that it was made five minutes before my own.

However, although I cannot claim the badge for my own, at least the time shenanigans have resulted in a new badge to be had by all.

An update before I head to work, my knights!

There are 2 works with 0 reviews and 22 works with 1 review in the Green Room.

We have nearly broken the 20 work barrier. After that, we fight the toughest beasts that have lived the longest time in the Green Room, but we must not give up! Fight on. I will return after work to help clean up.

Aha! Then we fight what remains!

Knight Attack brought forth her weary body, collapsing with little grace on the side of a grassy knoll. Before her the horse masters danced with their charges, calling commands and teasing the beasts. Massaging her tired feet, Attack considered the horses in the paddock beyond, watching their large teeth grasp and yank at the bales of hay.

In the ring, one trembling beast whinnied and snorted, head tossing back and forth. The ostler was finding it difficult to hold the reins, and within moments she was kicked to the side. The mare’s grey flanks were lathered in sweat and she bucked wildly as other handlers attempted to close in on her sides.

Attack sighed and pulled her body up slowly, fixing her jerkin and knocking some leaves off her shield. The creature was going mad and someone may get hurt, so she made her weary way toward the troubled group. On arrival she could see the situation getting madly out of hand, and so she tossed her weaponry and helmet to the side, climbing over the guard rail. Several voices shouted at her to stop, but it was too late, the horse had caught her eye and was steaming toward her.

Knight Attack stood her ground, palms facing upward, and she glared into the horse’s charging nose. At the last moment she flung herself forward and to the side, fingers scrabbling on the slick neck, and vaulted onto the wide back. Well practiced in the matters of holding onto struggling creatures, Attack tossed and rolled and jumped with the horse, fingers wrapped tightly in her thick mane. Soon she tired and felt the horse’s own fatigue. In agreement, Attack slid off the creature’s back and stood on wobbly legs as they looked at one another. The horse snorted into Attack’s face and she grinned, it seemed they understood one another.

The initial ostler came forward, wringing his hands. “Ma’am, what were you-“
“I wish to purchase this horse.” Attack interrupted, too tired for explanations and hand wringing.
“Oh but she’s hardly for buying, ma-am. She’s no good to ride, all anger.”
“I’ll pay double whatever her price is. Far too pretty a face to leave here.” The mare snorted as if in response and stepped on a man’s foot as he skirted her side. As the man shrieked and was carted away, the ostler prepared the papers for Attack’s curled flourish.
“There is no name on this, what do you call her?”
“Call her? Mistress, we don’t call her, we avoid her. Name her what you will, she is yours.”
“Well then, you delicate beastie.” Attack watched as her new brumby leant over the barrier to chomp on a plant, “Buttercup it is.” Mouth full of yellow, Buttercup declined to comment but followed her new owner out to the stalls.

I need a horse. Forget calling it Hoarse. Bubbles will be my horse and I will valiantly earn her!

Knight Rydia set out at dawn to make her killing and selected a most worthy opponent. From afar she watched the beast and she studied the way it tossed its noble head and pawed the ground with a graceful hoof. Knight Rydia had on her only a spear and she knew she must aim true and time it perfectly and so she waited. The brave and careful knight crouched in the bush for almost an hour but at last she saw her moment - the beast had reared at some unknown danger - and Knight Rydia leapt forward, her spear launched through the air and-

it struck an already fallen beast for the unknown danger was Squire Pig!

Knight Rydia very much laments taking so long to slay the beast and would like to claim the Green Girdle.

Fresh from the victory of winning her knighthood Knight Totoro stood on the edge of the precipice, staring down into the green abyss. Steadying her nerves she took in a deep breath and let it loose in a battle cry, diving into the unknown.

In amongst the haze of green, full of the lost souls who shared their most intimate thoughts, Knight Totoro grasped hold of something vaguely familiar. A lost squire, Squire Auxiira!

Clutching their fellow in arms, Knight Totoro pulled Squire Auxiira from certain peril to the safety of her collected comrades.

Knight Rydia saw as Knight Totoro bore
Squire Auxiira from the abyss.
She laid down her spear and called out a cheer,
pumping the air with her fist.

But my, what is that? A thunderous clap!
The earth shook with an almighty quake.
Knight Totoro near tripped, Squire Auxiira's hand slipped
but Rydia thundered awake!

She sprang to their aid and was unafraid
and clasped the Squire's hand in her own.
With Knight Totoro on side, they took it in stride
for no Knight will face danger alone!

Fellowship badge please!

A tired Kyll is a sluggish Knight,
but no less dedicated.
A tired Kyll will yet slowly fight
to see works liberated
that cause many a reader to quail
and flee their sacred duty
of providing review to a tale
presented most unbeaute-
-ously with grammar nowhere to be
seen, no characters who are
sympathetic, among the many,
many flaws which deeply scar
that story. But Knight Kyll did review
for the sake of all weak hearts,
and acquired a helmet in lieu
of reviewing those two parts.
