You turned around and said I’m no longer worth your time.
My car got trashed by mental neighbor standing outside.
And if it wasn’t for the drainage drowning me inside,
I would have said today my life is going rather fine

All is good, all is right,
Keep afloat just to survive.
Every day things pop up,
You just have to suck it up.

I’ve opened up my fridge to find all the food is gone;
It might be mice that travel in and out though the holes.
And even if I’ll get to store before the closing time,
My Visa’s dead and all the cash if gone since last July.

All is good, all is right,
Keep afloat just to survive.
Every day things pop up,
You just have to suck it up.

I would get out but the lock on my front door is jammed;
Would use the windows but right now I’m living on the eighth.
No electricity or gas, the water’s gone since night,
And in the nutshell that is pretty much my normal life.

All is good, all is right,
Keep afloat just to survive.
Every day things pop up,
You just have to suck it up.
For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards.

I liked this piece. With a lot of the other songs, poems, etc. that explain what awful things are going on in their lives, they say things like asking why is such-and-such happening to them, and what did they do to deserve it. I really enjoyed this because it's talking about taking on life head on instead of cowering in the corner waiting for the storm to pass. Good job!

Hi!

I really liked this and would love to hear it with the music one day.
A couple lines stood out to me:

The lines I loved:
You turned around and said I’m no longer worth your time.
And in the nutshell that is pretty much my normal life.
Keep afloat just to survive.

These lines I found didn't flow or fit as well:
I’ve opened up my fridge to find all the food is gone;
It might be mice that travel in and out though the holes.
Would use the windows but right now I’m living on the eighth.

I love that you don't complain about anything. It's blunt and I love that.
Life is not about how you sing in the sun, it is about how you dance in the rain.
