(So this is about how beautiful it is when someone is really, really nice about breaking your heart- so nice it doesn't even hurt. I wrote this one a while back about a friend, I'd just told him I liked him- and well the song explains the rest. But I gave this song to him and well...we're not friends anymore and that really hurt- So take it as a warning- don't do what I did!)

Intro: You let me down
Ever so gently

Verse1: You were a high ten
And at best I was six
Not sure why I jumped into something
I knew would lead to this

Turns out I'm psychic after all

All the questions unanswered
Obstacles encountered
Couldn't turn me off this road
Obsessive
Unprogressive
Dragging my heart like it was just another heavy load

I guarded my secret
With my life
But turns out imprisonment
Left me barely alive
And it's hard to break free
When you're constantly living a lie

Bridge: And even when I was flying high
Turns out I'm afraid of heights
Because it's such a long way to fall
You could have knocked me down
But you chose not to

Chorus:
You let me down
Ever so gently
You turned me round
And you helped me

Tell me why you've got to be so perfect
Thank god I've got a friend who makes wasting time seem worth it
Who let's me down
Ever so gently, gently, gently

Verse 2:
So back on the ground
Not sure how to feel
Reality will surely hit me
And make things more reel, reel, reel

Turns out I can spell after all

All the useless tears
and the hopes and fears
Were so much worse than the end
And I'd kick myself now
But you taught me how
To not dwell on things, my friend

Bridge: Flying that high
Makes you scared of heights
Coz it's such a long way to fall
You could have knocked me down
But you chose not to

Chorus:
You let me down
Ever so gently
You taught me how
To let go
Yet still stay happy

Tell me why you've got to be so perfect
Thank god I've got a friend who makes wasting time seem worth it
Who lets me down
Ever so gently....

Coda: Well done!
It turns out there's reel big fish in the sea
Well done!
I'll get through high school without my heart breaking
Will, will, will you leave my side?
Coz if you do I'll stop smiling
If this song turns out silly
It will depict you perfectly but well done
For letting me, letting me down gently
Ever so gently

Ending: Darling I barely felt a thing
You let me down so perfectly
And that's all I ever did need
Was to be let down
Ever so gently

( There's a few inside jokes/parts in there so if you find a line confusing that might be why... hint= reel big fish) :)
"You grow, you grow like tornado
You grow from the inside
Destroy everything through
Destroy from the inside
Erupt like volcano
You flow from the inside
You kill everything through
You kill from the inside"

Ok, this is just me but I dont really get the song at all... Did he reject your affection for him? Im not so good at reading these and stuff. But I did think it was a great song to read though, Id like to hear you sing it if you dont mind? I bet you would be very good.

Well... Thats really all I have to say about it... Sorry it wasnt as good as a reply like I had hoped it would be!

That's really good!
The first "best thing" for me is when you talk about the difference of their ages. My boyfriend is almost ten years older than me and it makes me feel a little bit scared.
I was a little bit confused at some points but I assume it was your intention.
Good job!
Congratulations
It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose
it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been
missing until it arrives.

"This is calm, and it's doctor!" (My DR. Reid -- Best line ever)

You walk into this room at your own risk, because it leads to the future, not a future that will be but one that might be. This is not a new world, it is simply an extension of what began in the old one. It has patterned itself after every dictator who has ever planted the ripping imprint of a boot on the pages of history since the beginning of time. It has refinements, technological advances, and a more sophisticated approach to the destruction of human freedom. But like every one of the super states that preceded it, it has one iron rule: logic is an enemy and truth is a menace.
