@alliyah <3 I've been trying to figure out how to navigate how my religion comes through in my writing. Something I want to do is be more open with how it influences things I'm struggling with in life. It was definitely raw but I'm glad I shared it. And now for something completely different, today's poem.

Mea, I am so happy to see a poem inspired by The Good Place. I also love how your poem has inside references to the show like the "everyone carries a little bit of sadness in them." I also love how you've still made a poem that cohesively fits with the existential and frankly spiritual themes of your other poems. Those last two lines are absolutely stunning.
"A poet is, before anything else, a person who is passionately in love with language." - W.H. Auden
Mostly written on 4/18, finished 4/19. Inspired by @Arcticus' musings on landscapes.
Also @bluewaterlily thank you so much! It's always surprising to see themes that spring up even when I'm not deliberately doing a theme. And I'm glad you love the last two lines - they're my favorite lines too.
