Spoiler! :
You're doing great Jay, keep it up!

I really like when you wrote this in "part i: about time":
"when i sit, think, and
try to remember
the significance of
a wednesday
or being halfway through
another month,
i can’t find it.

and then this part in "part ii: agenda":
"my planner
lays abandoned
on my shelf
atop all of my other
nonessential supplies."

It makes me wish for everything to be normal again, so I can go back to regularly using my planner and actually remembering what day it is.

"And I love the thought of being with you,
or maybe it's the thought of not being so alone."

Edit: As of December 22nd, 2020, all of the poems in this thread have been edited out. They all appear in a poetry book I'm self-publishing, so I thought it would be best to take them down from the site. Thank you to everyone who read the poems as they came out, and I hope you enjoy any future poems I write for future NaPo challenges!

I came up with that line on the fly so I'm very happy that you commented on it.

Spoiler! :
April 17th - This is the poem that actually inspired the poem I wrote today! I really liked it and felt that it added to the inspiration I was already feeling from the weather outside today

April 18th - I really enjoyed reading this poem and seeing how my writing was able to inspire your own! I love the imagery here, especially the first stanza.

Good job on making it this far in NaPo - I can't wait to see the read of your poems this month! :)

Aaaaaaa "Our Lair" is amazing! I thoroughly enjoyed it, from start to finish! I have read a lot of quarantine poems, but I think this one is one of my favorites! Keep on being awesome! ~Lucy

I've been trying to write quarantine-inspired poems, but I just couldn't. I mean, I did write a poem about the virus itself but not what I felt about staying at home, isolated from the world. Your latest poem really inspired me to write one!

I also love how you described the virus as an avalanche. It is on point! This virus spread too fast and the next thing we know, hundreds of thousands of people are already infected!

Have a lovely day❤️

I love this line in your latest poem!

and when i start
losing count
i think that smashing
the glass
will make the
overwhelming emotions
shatter, too.

And is it just me or the poem is somehow shaped like a hourglass sliced in half? That's really creative !!
