I'm pretty new to poetry considering all the lovely talent on this website, but it could be a learning experience, so I'll try my hand at it. Sign me up to be a competitor, please.
@Nobunaga@Thisislegacy @killeham would you like to try April Madness? Your poems are wonderful. If you haven't competed in something like this before, it's not as scary as it first sounds. You get a notification from one of the judges and they usually give you a 48hour window reminder for a poem you can enter, and then, whatever happens, happens, but it tends to be super fun because you meet people, you learn new things, more people read your works and comment on them, and you might even get surprised how far you end up!
I'd really like to sign up, but I know I'm insanely busy the first week of April. I should be okay after that, but I don't know if I'll make the first round. Should I try anyway?
We're all stories in the end.
I think of you as a fairy with a green dress and a flower crown and stuff. -EternalRain
I think you, @Deanie and I are like the Three Book Nerd Musketeers of YWS. -bluewaterlily
@Audy were you signing up as well as bringing so many lovely poets my way? If so, you've got the last place, otherwise @Arcticus is on the list.
@Willard@Mea@PenguinAttack I've put you down as replacement poets for now but if we get a few more then I'll adjust the tournament and add another grouping in. We may even have enough with the 3/4 we have - I'll play with the numbers a bit tonight/ tomorrow and see how it goes.
Pairings will be up tomorrow so please stand by! For all others interested in joining, please still post on this thread to submit your interest and I should be able to tweak it to get more people in.
