poem 66

i certainly don't claim to be a good person,
but i can still recognize that i am not. i
don't try and mask it, with whatever type
of ground of vegetable is a beauty product
this week. sure that can be a substitution
for those horrible "chemicals", that happen
to make up everything.
but please stop smearing cauliflower on
your face, so i can afford to put it in my
dinner.

poem 67

how can i make you understand,
what it is that i have already said
so plainly?
are the metaphors too much for
my point? do they cloud the air
ways too much for the message
to reach your brain?
perhaps taking your head out of
the clouds and your ass,
would help you see my side of
things, rather than focusing on
this week's pipe dream.

poem 68

i'd like to get to my destination,
before the white gates close on me.
the only way to get there is to go
so slowly through life, that the last
stretch home is nothing but a blurred
rush.

poem 69

"what is life"
this is the most common question,
to ever be asked across the universe,
because it is the thing we ask at all
moments. we ask it when sitting
alone on the edge of a dock and
wondering if there is something
beyond what we see. or when left
so lonely, wanting to find a way out,
and wanting to know if there's anything
to stick around for...

poem/song 74

Bright Lights
yes, i did record it

Can you hear the notes float down from heaven?
Can you taste the sweetness in the air?
I'm trying to contact you darling, but nothing is working here.
Oh, nothing is working dear.

And when you look out the back window, you might think you see me.
But it's nothing but bright lights on the highway.
How I wish I could be there but you know why I had to go.
Why had to go.

If angels listened to my prayers, I wouldn't be waiting in heaven.
I'd be sitting on our back stairs, waiting for you to come home.
Waiting for you to come home.

I sing my song everyday, hoping you hear me, as I look down from above.
I may be struck down by a lack of mercy,
but I know you will always search for me.
You will always search for me.

What is this lonely world, that they try to call heaven?
Heaven is supposed to be, the place where they join lovers,
lovers like you and me.
Oh, lovers like you and me.

Maybe in another time, I could have been the one.
But as long as I stay here, haunting your back door,
all that I wish for, is a little bit more.
Oh, a little bit more.

poem/song 76
(will record after napo ends lol)

while the soldiers walk down narrow streets,
the people bow in praise and shame, for
they have just sacrificed, their only king.

brutus asks them of honor, telling them he
deserves such recognition. they have the
destroyed, that had long rested in rome.

but antony asks of the crowd, "who are you?"
listen to the most noble one, he has something
to say, he was loyal to caesar all the way.

if you are haters of caesar, you are traitors of rome.
what is your stance, what do you think of your king?
lovers of caesar, are loyal to rome, no matter what
the true traitors, may try and say to you.

he is the condemned one, not you the crowd.
we must honor the honorable one, not listening
to such fools like brutus, the traitorous one.

and this war is long from done.
